Job summary

HMB Professional Engineers, LLC is seeking a Sr. CEI Inspector with extensive Construction Engineering & Inspection experience for TDOT projects in Tennessee.

The position will involve field inspections, surveying, and coordinating a team of inspectors in Murfreesboro or Chattanooga, with travel requirements and a focus on safety, quality, and documentation. We value collaboration, professional excellence, and a growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of CEI experience including work on TDOT projects.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid TN Driver's license with a clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Assigned to work in Murfreesboro or Chattanooga, TN.
• Perform field surveying, construction layout, marking and checking computations.
• Inspect construction work and conduct field tests.
• Coordinate and manage lower level inspectors.
• Work under supervision of the Project Administrator.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Monitor conformance to quality, specifications and codes.
• Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records.
• Participate in punch lists, testing and commissioning.
