Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an on-site Project Inspector to join our CEI team. The role involves inspecting roadway, bridge, drainage, erosion, and maintenance work across multiple project locations and ensuring conformance with plans, specs, and contract provisions.

You will read drawings, document results, and communicate findings to supervisors. Strong knowledge of highway construction, materials, and equipment is required, along with a valid driver's license and 6 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certifications from a State Highway Agency or NICET/ACI if required by client.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• 6 years of related experience; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections to ensure materials and processes meet plans and provisions.
• Use advanced equipment and perform calculations for inspections.
• Work under appropriate supervision based on assignment knowledge.
• Review drawings to prepare for inspection.
• Document and communicate inspection results to the supervisor.
