Job summary

CDM Smith’s Transportation Construction CEI team seeks an Inspector to monitor and inspect project sites across multiple locations. The role requires reading plans, performing complex inspections, and ensuring conformance to specifications, with travel up to 40%.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and certifications such as NICET/ACI as required by jurisdiction. On-site field work is performed across roadway and bridge projects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET or ACI certifications in earthwork/asphalt/concrete preferred depending on client/jurisdiction.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections of construction to ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Use advanced equipment and perform complex calculations for inspections.
• Review drawings to prepare for inspection.
• Document and communicate inspection results to supervisor.
