Job summary

CDM Smith's Transportation CEI team is seeking a field Inspector to perform complex inspections at project sites. This on-site role offers exposure to road, bridge, drainage and other highway construction projects across multiple US locations.

You will read plans, document findings, and communicate results to supervisors, with travel up to 20-40%. A high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 6 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections to evaluate materials and construction conform to plans and specs.
• Uses high-grade equipment and performs complex calculations for inspections.
• Works under supervision appropriate to demonstrated knowledge for the assignment.
• Review drawings to prepare for the construction inspection.
• Documenting and communicating inspection results to the supervisor.
