Job summary

GAI Consultants in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior CEI Engineering Manager to lead CEI teams on highway, roadway, and bridge projects throughout Ohio, including collaboration with ODOT and other public/private clients.

Lead complex construction inspection programs, plan and organize staff workloads, market projects, and manage client relationships while aligning team efforts with project objectives. Requires 18+ years of CEI experience and a BS in Construction or related field.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of experience in CEI/ construction engineering management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction or related field.
• ODOT Construction Inspection certification(s) or ability to obtain within 120 days of appointment.
• ODOT Construction Administration certification(s) or ability to obtain within 120 days of appointment.
• Familiarity with ODOT construction management systems, documentation requirements, and project delivery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and staff CEI teams on highway, roadway, and bridge projects for multiple clients across Ohio.
• Direct complex construction engineering administration and inspection programs.
• Plan and organize the work of subordinates and staff members.
• Actively market projects and lead proposal preparation.
• Manage existing client relationships and develop new clients for the firm.
• Oversee the completeness and accuracy of the project team's work by guiding the team toward objectives.
• Perform project management duties as required.
