CDM Smith’s Transportation Construction CEI team is seeking an Inspector to perform complex and routine construction inspections at project sites across multiple locations in the US. The role requires reading and interpreting plans, applying quality standards, and reporting findings to supervisors.

The position emphasizes on-site field work, travel 20%–40%, and the ability to work under varying supervision levels while maintaining safety and compliance on roadway, bridge, drainage, erosion

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications from a State Highway Agency or NICET/ACI if required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections of construction to verify materials and processes.
• Use equipment and perform calculations for inspections.
• Work under supervision appropriate to assignment.
• Review drawings to prepare for inspection.
• Document results and communicate to the supervisor.
