Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an on-site CEI inspector to join our Transportation Construction team. You will inspect highway-related work at project locations across multiple states, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and contract provisions.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Certifications from a State Highway Agency or NICET/ACI in earthwork, asphalt, and concrete if required by client/jurisdiction.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
12 years of related experience.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel frequency contingent on duties.

Responsibilities

Perform complex and routine inspections to ensure materials and processes conform to plans and specs.
Use higher-grade equipment and perform complex calculations for inspection.
Work under supervision appropriate to knowledge for assignment.
Review drawings to prepare for inspection.
Document and communicate inspection results to supervisor.
