Job summary

CDM Smith's CEI team seeks an Inspector to support on-site construction activities across multiple U.S. locations. You will inspect roadway, bridge and drainage work, read plans, and ensure compliance with specifications and safety requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, relevant certifications, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication and math skills. Travel up to 40% is required, with opportunities to mentor junior inspectors in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certifications from a State Highway Agency or NICET/ACI in earthwork, asphalt, concrete may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections of construction to ensure materials and processes meet plans and specs.
• Use equipment and perform calculations for inspection work.
• Review drawings and observe field work to document results and communicate them to supervision.
