Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a CDI Second Level Reviewer to perform comprehensive clinical chart reviews and ensure documentation reflects severity of illness and risk of mortality in line with Official Coding Guidelines, Coding Clinics, CMS and AHIMA standards.

In this role, you will collaborate with the CDI team, Physician Advisors, Providers, Coding Educators and Quality staff to identify education opportunities, reconcile discrepancies, and drive documentation quality across diverse patient

Qualifications

• Nursing degree with appropriate licensure or medical degree.
• AHIMA credentials (CCS/RHIA/RHIT) with CDIP or CCDS.
• 4–6 years in clinical documentation, CDI review, or DRG validation.

Responsibilities

• Perform second level clinical reviews to support accurate coding.
• Collaborate with CDI team, educators, and providers to ensure compliant documentation.
• Identify opportunities to educate CDI staff and clinicians to improve quality.
