Job summary

Solventum is seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDI) to review inpatient records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. You will collaborate with physicians and coding staff to ensure proper ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and DRG assignment while maintaining a 98% accuracy rate.

The role supports documentation improvement initiatives, participates in rounds and education, and requires seven years of nursing experience in an inpatient setting with a BSN and an active RN license.

Qualifications

• RN license with a bachelor’s degree (or higher) and seven years of nursing experience.
• Five years of inpatient acute care experience.
• Experience auditing practices, ICD-10/PCS guidelines, quality initiatives, and MS-DRG/APR-DRG methodologies.
• Clinical knowledge and application to coding; CCDS/CCS/CDIP knowledge (7 years).
• Experience with Solventum HIS portfolio (360 Encompass) and EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient medical records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Maintain an accuracy rate of 98% in documentation and coding.
• Initiate compliant physician queries to clarify diagnoses or documentation.
• Collaborate with coding staff to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and DRG assignment.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, provider education, and documentation improvement initiatives.
