Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a Senior Catering Director to maintain costs and quality standards, maximize profits, and lead the catering team. Youll work directly with the client, supervise staffing, and foster interdepartmental collaboration to integrate catering with the facility plan.

You will develop talent, manage service excellence at events, and uphold company standards while building strong relationships with employees, guests, and the client.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of food, industry trends and fine dining.
• 4–6 years of experience in managing catering events.
• Ability to supervise food service and clean up.
• TIPs certification required.
• ServSafe certification recommended.
• Excellent quantitative, oral and written communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proactive mindset and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Manage catering events to meet company and client standards.
• Maintain high levels of customer service at events.
• Interview, hire, and train staffing within local pool.
• Conduct orientation for Catering Directors/Managers.
• Handle employee relations in partnership with the team.
• Coach and train staff per company policies.
• Support staffing budgets and financial accountability related to service.
