Job summary

AEP is seeking a skilled Procurement Category Manager to lead high-spend sourcing projects and drive category strategy for materials and services. Based on an on-site role in Columbus/New Albany, you will coordinate with business units, negotiate strategic agreements, and manage supplier relationships to achieve multi-million-dollar savings.

You will oversee complex sourcing efforts, build financial models, and leverage SRM tools to optimize total cost of ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• MBA or Purchasing certification preferred but not required.
• 6+ years of supply chain experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage project-driven sourcing activities for high-spend categories.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve savings goals.
• Interface with Business Unit leadership to report progress and results.
• Lead teams and collaborate with suppliers to drive category performance.
