Job summary

Nationwide seeks a Procurement Category Management Consultant in Columbus, OH, to lead sourcing and contracting for technical services, including SAAS licenses and offshore outsourcing. You will work with Business Partners, Finance, Legal, and Risk to shape category strategies and deliver measurable value.

This hybrid role requires strong communication, relationship building, and the ability to influence without formal authority.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in supply chain, procurement, business, finance, accounting, MIS, economics or related fields preferred.
Experience in procurement and contracting is required.
Ability to develop category strategies and manage supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

Partner with Business Partners, Finance, Technology and Procurement team to manage sourcing requests and contracts.
Lead advanced industry research and establish category strategies for technical domains.
Forecast demand, define service levels, and assess total cost of ownership with stakeholders.
Facilitate RFP/RFQ/RFI processes and negotiate contract terms and SLAs.
Assess supplier risk with risk partners and ensure compliance.
Mentor and train new associates on procurement policies and processes.
