Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Houston seeks a senior Category Manager for Operations & Maintenance Support. You will lead procurement strategies for catalysts, chemicals, rentals, and repairs, collaborating with Projects, Operations and Pipeline teams to meet schedules and budgets.

The role requires expert knowledge in procurement, advanced contracting concepts, and the ability to drive cost, quality and on-time delivery. Travel to sites and supplier locations will be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in procurement, sourcing or supply chain roles with complex scopes.
• Expertise in a category of direct material purchases (Electrical, Mechanical, Rotating, Rental or Fabricated Equipment).
• Strong sourcing, contracting and procurement process knowledge.
• Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies for operations, maintenance, repairs and rentals to maximize value.
• Lead bid events, RFPs and negotiation of Frame Agreements and complex contracts.
• Manage NDA processes, vendor pre-qualifications and bid evaluations.
• Draft and negotiate contracts with input from Legal, Risk, and Contract Administration.
• Provide vendor recommendations based on evaluation of proposals and bids.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
• Travel to sites and supplier locations as required.
