Job summary

Boardwalk Pipelines, LP seeks a Category Manager O&M in Houston to own end-to-end procurement for field maintenance, pipeline integrity, cathodic protection, and environmental services across its multi-state footprint.

The role focuses on developing category strategies, negotiating MSAs, managing supplier performance with KPIs, and ensuring compliance with PHMSA and DOT regulations, partnering with Operations and Environment Health & Safety.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management in oil & gas, pipeline, or utilities.
• Experience managing service contractor portfolios across multiple regions with MSAs and performance management.
• Experience with pipeline integrity services, cathodic protection, or right-of-way maintenance preferred.
• Working familiarity with PHMSA pipeline integrity regulations and procurement implications.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end procurement for O&M spend categories, with cost performance and supplier strategy accountability.
• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies across O&M sub-categories.
• Maintain spend analytics and demand visibility; translate demand into proactive sourcing plans.
• Identify opportunities for regional contractor consolidation, national alliances, and standardization to reduce total cost.
