Job summary

Ørsted in the United States seeks a procurement professional to lead inverter and battery energy storage system (BESS) equipment sourcing. You will manage end-to-end tender processes, engage suppliers, evaluate offers, negotiate contracts, and drive value across engineering, development, construction, finance, tax and legal teams.

You will monitor markets and supplier capacity, translate insights into sourcing strategies, and ensure supplier performance and risk management throughout the project

Qualifications

• Experience with inverter and BESS procurement and end-to-end sourcing.
• Proven ability to lead competitive sourcing events and negotiations.
• Strong stakeholder management across engineering, development, construction, finance, tax and legal.
• Ability to translate market insights into sourcing strategies and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies for inverter and BESS equipment.
• Lead end-to-end tender processes, supplier engagement, evaluations, negotiations and contracts.
• Collaborate with engineering, development, construction, finance, tax and legal to enable project delivery.
• Monitor markets, supplier capacity, pricing and risks to provide intelligence and recommendations.
• Negotiate terms, delivery schedules, warranties and performance commitments with suppliers.
• Support contract management and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and tools.
• Identify and manage commercial, contractual and supply chain risks while upholding integrity and safety.
