Job summary

Mars Incorporated's Mars Snacking AFH division seeks a Manager - Category Management to lead insights, translate data into actionable recommendations across assortment, shelving, merchandising and modular development to drive category performance.

The role is remote with travel up to 30%, reports to the Director of Channel Strategy and Intelligence. 5+ years in CPG category management and strong analytics with tools like Nielsen/Circana, Excel and PowerPoint are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years CPG industry experience in Category Management or related functions.
• Experience leveraging syndicated and POS data to develop actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead insight-driven category growth strategies that create value for customer and organization.
• Act as trusted advisor to customer merchants, providing data-backed recommendations on assortment, shelving, space allocation, merchandising.
• Lead annual and ongoing category planning with growth opportunities and strategic actions.
• Leverage distributor, operator, and syndicated data to uncover insights and translate findings into recommendations.
• Create and deliver compelling, insight-led presentations for meetings and reviews.
• Champion best practices in category management, analytics, reporting, and storytelling.
• Partner with Sales and customers to identify growth opportunities and Joint Business Planning.
• Collaborates with internal teams to develop insights and opportunities that fuel growth.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to evaluate business performance and opportunities.
