Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Category Management Specialist I - Sr Staff in Jackson, Mississippi. The role focuses on end-to-end procurement and supply chain value within nuclear third party spend, working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive safety, cost reductions and performance improvements.

The position requires extensive knowledge in category management, strategic sourcing and contract strategies, with supervision-free operation and potential coaching to others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years related supplier contracting, vendor management or supply chain experience.
• Senior Staff requires 12+ years of category management, strategic sourcing or related supply chain experience (16+ years in lieu of a degree).
• Minimum 2+ years energy industry supply chain experience in category management or strategic sourcing.
• Preferred: CPSM/APICS certification (II through Sr. Staff).

Responsibilities

• Promote strong safety behaviors and ensure safety first.
• Develop and execute category strategies; monitor spend and market trends.
• Review supplier performance; manage supplier base and relationships.
• Bundle purchasing and forecast demand across departments/sites.
• Influence cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain.
