Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Senior Staff Category Management Specialist to lead category management and strategic sourcing for assigned categories. This hybrid role supports Entergy’s $4B third-party spend across multiple markets and interfaces with internal business units, Tax, Finance, Safety, HR, Legal and external suppliers.

You will act as a strategic advisor, coach junior specialists, and drive supplier performance, cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and value creation through the category

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 12+ years of category management or sourcing experience, or 16+ years without a degree.
Minimum 6+ years energy industry supply chain experience in category management or strategic sourcing.
Certification from an industry accreditation such as CPSM or APICS is preferred.

Responsibilities

Promote safety and ensure team safety first.
Act as storm role lead as assigned.
Develop and execute category/subcategory strategies and manage spend.
Review commercial, process, risk, and sustainability strategies for product categories.
Manage supplier base and performance through reviews and benchmarking.
Forecast demand and bundle purchasing across departments.
