The Vitamin Shoppe is seeking a Buyer for the performance supplements category who will set strategic direction, optimize assortment, drive margins, and manage inventory to achieve category plans. You will partner with Marketing, Inventory, Retail Operations, and Finance to execute comprehensive category strategies.

You will own vendor relationships, analyze market data, and lead cross-functional teams to maintain competitive advantage and strong product offerings across national and Vitamin

Formación

• Category merchandising expertise in replenishment-driven categories.
• 5–7+ years in progressive retail or CPG merchandising.
• Strong vendor negotiation skills with multinational vendors.
• Advanced analytical skills to define problems and analyze data.

Responsabilidades

• Set and execute strategic direction for category including Vitamin Shoppe Brand and national brands.
• Collaborate with Category Planner to develop category inventory productivity targets and implement strategic initiatives.
• Develop and achieve category plans including sales, promotional markdowns and merchandise margin.
• Create well-balanced assortments partnering with Private brands on opportunities.
• Develop and execute the monthly promotional cadence with marketing and pricing teams.
• Work with the Pricing team to determine competitive position of products.
• Cultivate and maintain vendor relationships to create business opportunities.
• Establish credibility and responsiveness in the marketplace with timely follow-up.
• Develop relationships with cross-functional partners (Inventory, Private Brands, Marketing, Visual, MIO).
• Build and communicate category & market intelligence across the organization.
• Proactively lead and develop staff to strengthen merchandising bench.
• Stay current on industry trends by attending events and visiting competitors.
