Job summary

AVP•SEES Group in Knoxville seeks an experienced cataract and anterior segment surgeon to join a physician-led ophthalmology practice. You will provide high-volume cataract surgery, MIGS, and general anterior segment care while collaborating with optometrists and referring physicians to ensure excellent outcomes.

The ideal candidate has MD/DO in ophthalmology, completed residency, and board certification or eligibility, with an active Tennessee license or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree in ophthalmology
• Completion of an ophthalmology residency program
• Board certification or eligibility in ophthalmology
• Active Tennessee medical license or ability to obtain before start date
• DEA registration and opioid to prescribe medications
• Strong clinical and surgical judgment with patient-centered care

Responsibilities

• Perform high-volume cataract surgery and anterior segment procedures
• Manage patients with coexisting ocular diseases including glaucoma
• Apply evidence-based surgical techniques and adopt advancing technologies
• Collaborate with optometrists and referring physicians to ensure continuity of care
