Job summary

Alpaca is seeking an experienced operations professional to own and strengthen controls across money movement workflows, ensuring adherence to firm policies and data privacy standards. You will review, validate, and approve client money movement requests (ACH, wires, RTP, checks, journals) and reconcile daily cash movements, monitoring exceptions to meet SLAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years in financial services or brokerage operations.
• Direct experience processing money movements (ACH, wires, checks, journals) with custodians or banks.
• Strong risk awareness and clear communication skills.

• Own and continuously strengthen controls across money movement workflows, ensuring adherence to firm policies, regulatory expectations, and data privacy standards.
• Review, validate, and approve client money movement requests (ACH, wires, RTP, checks, journals) in accordance with firm policies.
• Process and release transactions accurately and within established SLAs, reconcile daily cash movements, and monitor exceptions.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field — or equivalent experience, with 5+ years in financial services, brokerage operations, banking, or cashiering.
• Direct experience processing money movements (ACH, wires, checks, journals, RTP preferred) and interacting with custodians, clearing firms, or correspondent banks.
• Strong command of operational risk and fraud controls, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
