Synchrony is seeking a Sr. Finance Specialist to support cash accounting activities, including daily balancing of customer payments, disbursements and month-end close. You will conduct reconciliations, investigate items, and help implement small process improvements within the Controllership group.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 1–2 years of accounting experience and strong Excel/Office skills. Flexible work options and regional engagement hubs are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 1–2 years accounting experience.
• 1–2 years GL/Balance sheet reconciliation experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Detailed knowledge of the process flow of assigned accounts and Blackline balancing procedures.
• Complete daily balancing and monitoring of aged items per thresholds.
• Research reconciling items with root-cause/action plans documented.
• Suggest and implement small scope process improvements.
• Prepare journal entries and perform month-end reconciliations per SYF standards.
• Assist governance initiatives including job aids and testing.
• Support ad hoc reporting requests.
