Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 3–5 years of public accounting experience.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in CAS or outsourced accounting environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly and quarterly close processes for assigned clients, ensuring information is accurate and on schedule.
  • Prepare and review financial statements for client review.
  • Perform complex reconciliations (bank, credit card, payroll) and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with onboarding and setup of new accounting systems and data transition.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients and maintain professional relationships.
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to support workflows and reporting.

We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Senior CAS Associate to join our growing Client Accounting Services (CAS) team in our Jackson office. This is a full-time, salaried, 100% in-office or hybrid role designed for an accounting professional who enjoys being hands-on, engaging in client interaction, and leading others.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted accounting partner to a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering accurate financial statements, providing practical insights, and helping businesses operate more confidently. You will also play a key role in reviewing the work of team members and supporting their development, all while maintaining strong, professional relationships with clients.

What You Will Do

As a Senior CAS Associate , you will:

  • Manage monthly and quarterly close processes for assigned clients, ensuring financial information isaccurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for client review and discussion.
  • Perform complex account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and payroll accounts, and investigate and resolve discrepanciesin a timely manner.
  • Support client onboarding activities byassistingwith the setup of new accounting systems, chart of accounts, and the transition of historical financial data.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for clients, answering accounting questions and supporting ongoing client relationships witha high levelof professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Utilize advanced accounting tools and technology, including QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, to support efficient workflows,accuratereporting, and client deliverables.
What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate brings both technical strength and interpersonal confidence:

  • Advancedproficiencyin QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 3–5 years of public accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in Client Accounting Services (CAS) or outsourced accounting environments.
Work Environment & Expectations
  • In-office or Hybrid role (Monday–Friday) – this is not a remote position
  • Oversight and review of other team members’ work is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client communication are essential for success
