Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an experienced Level 4 carpenter to support large-scale reconstruction projects in Ohio. This role leads skilled crews, trains junior carpenters, and ensures safe, high-quality work on commercial sites.

The candidate will use advanced carpentry techniques, supervise teams, and participate in varied tasks across residential, commercial, and industrial sites, including nights or weekends when required.

Qualifications

• Supervise unskilled labor and BELFOR employees on project sites
• Train Carpenter Basic and Intermediate team members
• Maintain equipment used daily
• Perform emergency services as needed and coordinate with team

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems and seek guidance
• Train carpenter teams on job descriptions
• Answer questions or escalate to appropriate resources
• Construct containment for dust and debris
• Build or repair metal framed walls, ceilings, roofing as required
• Use BELFOR methods for tasks like flood cutting and labeling
• Identify insulation types and R-values
• Apply skills to trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, framing, ceilings, and siding
• Conduct daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks
• Maintain attention to detail and safeguard client property
• Understand customer service principles and practices
• Work under time constraints to meet deadlines
• Occasionally work nights/weekends and travel as required
• Accurately report time worked and materials used
• Attend BELFOR training and safety courses
