Job summary

BrightStar Care in New Baltimore, MI is seeking a dedicated Senior Caregiver to provide uplifting in-home care for seniors. This part-time position offers flexible hours and a competitive salary ranging from $15.50 to $23.25 per hour, along with various benefits including bonuses and paid time off.

The ideal candidate will assist clients with personal care, accompany them to appointments, and document observed changes. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with CPR certification and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and aid in client mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers.
• Accompany clients to the grocery store, doctor appointments, and pharmacy visits.
• Assist clients with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and document observed changes to the Director of Nursing.

Requirements

• CNA preferred but not required; Home Health Aide considered.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x‑ray (will be provided if missing).
• Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile and proof of insurance.
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull; varied assistance required depending on client's mobility. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
