Job summary

Brightstar Care of Grosse Pointe/Southeast Macomb/New Baltimore is seeking caregivers to provide personal care assistance to clients in need. Your responsibilities will include aiding with daily tasks such as bathing and dressing, as well as accompanying clients to appointments.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, and experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or similar role is preferred. This position offers competitive pay, flexible schedules, and various employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Certifications such as CPR are required or can be obtained.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, ambulation and transfers
• Accompany clients to grocery stores, doctor appointments and pharmacy visits
• Assist clients with active and passive mobility work as defined by the plan of care and document observed changes to the Director of Nursing

Requirements

• CNA preferred but not required; Home Health Aide will be considered
• High school diploma or GED
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest X‑ray (training provided if needed)
• Licensed driver with insured, reliable vehicle and proof of insurance
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull; lift up to 50 pounds
