Job summary

Sonata Lake Mary is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide resident-focused assistance under the Wellness Director and Manager. You will support daily living activities and help maintain a safe, clean, and engaging living environment.

Applicants should have a caring nature, plus the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work weekends/holidays as needed. Training and in-service education are expected to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current State Nurse’s Aide registration preferred but NOT REQUIRED.
• Experience and passion in working with seniors.
• Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as lifting up to 60 pounds.
• Able to maintain positive working relationships with Residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.

Responsibilities

• Assists Residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, mobility).
• Monitors health and reports changes to Wellness Director.
• Keeps inventory of medical supplies and assists with ordering.
• Supports shift coverage and helps assign tasks for the Wellness Director.
• Responds to emergencies with first aid and arranges medical follow-up.
• Keeps resident units clean, neat, and orderly.
• Assists with meal selection and feeding as assigned.
• Participates in in-service education (min 6 hours per year).
