Job summary

Wingate Living is seeking a Director of Wellness to organize and direct the wellness team, ensuring nursing care meets all regulations and facility standards. The role leads programs, supervises staff, and oversees HIPAA-compliant records, collaborating with healthcare professionals to tailor resident care plans.

Experience in geriatric care, strong communication, and organizational abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license in RI; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' supervision experience in the medical field.
• Knowledge of GAFC requirements, D.P.H. regulations, and Department of Elder Affairs standards.
• AL, LTC, and geriatric nursing care experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive wellness programs tailored to residents.
• Supervise and manage staff, ensuring adherence to care plans and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate medical records while ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Manage budgets related to wellness programs and resources effectively.
• Conduct regular training sessions for staff on best practices in home care and assisted living.
• Monitor the overall health and well-being of residents, providing support as needed.
• Facilitate communication between residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure holistic care.
