Job summary

Horsham Center for Jewish Life is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Speech Therapist to join our interdisciplinary care team. This role focuses on evaluating residents and delivering therapy to improve speech, swallowing, cognition, and overall independence.

The position requires a PA SLP license; CCC-SLP is preferred/required as applicable. We offer a supportive environment, competitive salary, and opportunities for growth within a 324-bed long-term care community.

Qualifications

• Current SLP license in Pennsylvania.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred/required as applicable.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or related healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Compassionate and patient approach when working with seniors.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments and resident goals.
• Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
• Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation and required reports.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, recommendations, and strategies.
• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care planning and communicate resident progress and recommendations.
• Promote resident safety, independence, dignity, and quality of life.
• Follow applicable facility policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.
