Job summary

Elderwood Administrative Services is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time role at Elderwood at Waverly. You will assess and treat residents, develop therapy plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, and CPR/BLS. We offer comprehensive benefits, professional development, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• M.A. or M.S. Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved school required.
• State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
• Clinical Certification from ASHA preferred.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required.
• Current, valid CPR/BLS credential.

Responsibilities

• Screens resident for communication problems; conducts in-depth evaluation and writes recommendations for therapy plan.
• Coordinates audiometric screening and referrals for further evaluation or treatment.
• Initiates speech-language therapy plan of care according to physician orders and maintains contact during the program.
• Maintains records, progress notes, and discharge summaries for residents in the program.
• Attends care planning and family/resident plan meetings and coordinates with other staff.
