Job summary

Majestic Care of Southport is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care for residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The role centers on implementing individualized treatment plans to support functional communication and safe swallowing.

The SLP will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure resident-centered therapy, maintain licensure, and pursue ongoing professional development in geriatric

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred; CF candidates may be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare, PDPM, and SNF documentation standards strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing functions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and resident goals.
• Provide therapies targeting speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive communication, and dysphagia.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and rehab staff to support holistic care.
