Job summary

Bedrock Health Care Center in Wisconsin is seeking an Occupational Therapist Aide to support residents under the supervision of an occupational therapist. You will assist in implementing therapy plans and documenting progress to help residents maintain or regain independence.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you’ll follow physician orders, use adaptive equipment when appropriate, and adhere to safety and infection-control guidelines while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret medical information.
• Able to communicate with residents, families and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Follow physicians’ orders for resident care and follow directions of the occupational therapist.
• Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of function.
• Maintain timely and accurate resident reports as required by regulatory agencies and third-party payers.
• Observe infection control procedures and resident safety.
• Be responsible for the safety of residents under supervision.
