This role supports residents to maintain or regain independence through therapeutic activities, adheres to facility policies, and helps deliver nutritionally enhanced meals in a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Communication and written skills to interact with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret medical information.
• Apply basic reasoning to define problems and support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Follow physicians’ orders and directions of the occupational therapist.
• Provide treatment to help residents maintain or regain function.
• Use adaptive equipment and preventive measures to prevent decline.
• Maintain timely and accurate resident reports per regulations.
• Observe infection control and facility safety procedures.
• Collaborate with residents, families, staff and providers.
