Job summary

Columbia Cottage is seeking a part-time Medication Technician / Caregiver in Linglestown, PA. Starting pay is $18.00/hour with shift differentials, and flexible scheduling.

Evening shifts 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM, with every other weekend and holiday requirements. We offer holiday double-time pay, 401(k) with employer match, dental and vision, medical insurance, company-paid life insurance (FT eligible), voluntary benefits, and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medication Technician certification is required.
• Diabetes training is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• Experience in assisted living, senior care, or healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications according to physician orders.
• Assist residents with taking medications safely and effectively.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and side effects.
• Document all medication administration in MAR accurately.
• Obtain vital signs, blood glucose, and other ordered measurements.
• Provide encouragement, education, and emotional support to residents.
• Deliver hands-on care and assist with daily living activities.

Education
