Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Raleigh, NC seeks a dedicated Medication Aide/Med Tech to administer medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity. You will follow physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration to ensure residents receive the correct medications.

Record in MAR/TAR in real time, observe residents during and after passes, monitor symptoms, and report concerns promptly. Maintain clean carts and comply with infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills expected.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Observe residents during and after medication passes
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
• Report refusals or concerns promptly
• Complete narcotic counts per policy
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms
• Follow infection control and safety standards
