Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, operating Oakmont Senior Living communities, seeks a part-time Medication Technician (Med Tech) to prepare and distribute medications for residents. The role requires coordinating with pharmacies and physicians, tracking changes, and maintaining confidential records while upholding safety standards.

A strong customer service mindset and passion for elderly care are essential. The position offers AM hours (6:00a-2:00p), Fri-Sun, in El Dorado Hills, CA, with benefits

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with medication in a RCFE preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN a plus.
• Ability to operate MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and meet their needs.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff.
• Must pass background check and health screening (TB test).
• Vaccination/health screening and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacies, and physicians.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with coworkers and other departments.
