Job summary

Oakmont of El Dorado Hills is seeking a Part-time Medication Technician (Med Tech) to assist with medication administration for residents and provide personal care as needed. The role supports nursing staff, coordinates with pharmacies and physicians, and requires adherence to safety and privacy standards.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, comfort working with seniors, and basic MS Office skills. Training or certification may be required by state regulation.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year of experience assisting with medication at a RCFE.
• Completion of training/certification may be required per state regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to care for the elderly.
• Written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Criminal background check and health screening including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
