Job summary

Connaught Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead on the floor, delivering outstanding person-centred care and mentoring care staff across shifts within our luxury care homes.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification, a calm, confident presence, and excellent communication with empathy for older adults and those living with dementia. A proactive, team-first attitude and commitment to high standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant with a Level 3.
• Calm, confident presence and natural leadership with empathy and integrity.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for working with older adults and those living with dementia.
• Proactive mindset and team-first attitude—you’ll be ready to step up and help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding person-centred care while leading by example across the shift
• Support and mentor care assistants, ensuring best practice and kindness underpin everything
• Assist with medication administration, care plans, risk assessments and handovers
• Be the senior point of contact on the floor—managing priorities, responding to resident needs, and supporting the team in the moment
• Build trusted relationships with residents and their families, offering reassurance, empathy and clear communication
• Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of care, dignity, and respect
