Job summary

Happier At Home – Northeast Iowa seeks an in-home senior caregiver to help clients age safely in their own homes in Waterloo and surrounding communities. You will provide companionship, assist with personal care, prepare meals, and support daily living in a compassionate, respectful way.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient and dependable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently
• Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation
• Background check and drug screening required
• Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the care team
