Job summary

Responsibilities include portioning, cooking according to recipes, cleaning and sanitizing areas, and supporting residents with a friendly, respectful service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation rules.
• Ability to understand recipes and calculate measurements.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Understanding or ability to learn the use of commercial kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Portion and serve food to facility residents.
• Cook food according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and number of portions to be served.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware.
• Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
