Job summary

Wellsprings-Care-Center is seeking a Cook to prepare, cook, season, and serve balanced meals for residents in a senior care setting. You will handle menu-driven dishes, ensure attractive presentation, and follow federal/state regulations and company policies.

The role requires experience in a dining department of a senior care community, a high school diploma or GED, and a commitment to safety and quality. Reports to the Executive Chef in a dining department.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: dining department in a senior care community preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, season, and serve nutritious meals per menus.
• Cook a variety of foods in large quantities while ensuring quality.
• Follow recipes and safety guidelines; monitor temperatures.
• Supervise other staff in the absence of the Executive Chef.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper food-handling techniques.
