Job summary

The Aspenwood Company in Austin, TX seeks a compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our senior living community. You will administer medications, monitor residents, and support independence in an independent living and assisted living setting.

This full-time role requires weekend and holiday availability, a CNA with medication certification, CPR, and strong communication. We offer benefits including 401K with match, PTO, healthcare options, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant with state-approved Medication Assistant Certification.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor residents' responses, and notify the Director of Resident Care of any concerns.
• Assist residents with medication according to procedures and supervise self-administration.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, observations, and changes in resident condition.
• Write weekly/monthly summaries addressing issues identified in service plans.
• Assist with EMR training, order verification, onboarding new employees, and handling incident reports and communications in the absence of the nurse.
• Count controlled substances with outgoing RMAs and ensure accuracy before accepting keys.
