Job summary

The Aspenwood Company in Houston, TX is seeking full-time Resident Medication Aides who are compassionate and committed to delivering exceptional care to seniors in a warm, homelike setting. We offer a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits to support you and our residents.

You will administer medications, monitor residents, document accurately, and work closely with nurses and care staff to promote wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
• Delegation by a Registered Nurse for medication administration.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor residents' responses.
• Document medication distribution and resident activities.
• Assist residents with self-administration and supervise.
• Maintain the medicine supply room cleanliness and organization.
• Receive and manage reports on all residents.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Communicate with nursing staff and care team as needed.
• Attend in-service trainings and participate in emergency response.
