Job summary

The Aspenwood Company in Plano, TX is seeking full-time Resident Medication Aides to provide compassionate, resident-centered care in a warm, homelike setting. You will administer medications, monitor residents, and contribute to a supportive community where seniors thrive.

Position offers pay ranges from $17.50 to $19.00 per hour, with full-time shifts and availability on weekends/holidays. Benefits and a collaborative team environment are provided to support both residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
• Delegation by a Registered Nurse for medication administration.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor residents' responses and adhere to infection control policies.
• Maintain residents' medication records and assist with self-administration as needed.
• Count controlled substances with appropriate procedures.
• Promote teamwork and participate in required in-service trainings.
• Be an active member of the community's emergency response team.
