Job summary

Visiting Angels Temple is seeking a Patient Care Assistant - PCA to support seniors in their homes in Temple and surrounding areas. You choose flexible shifts (1–12 hours), with a minimum of 20 hours per week and travel to multiple clients as needed.

Requirements include over 1 year of hands-on caregiving, weekend work, reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and successful background check. We offer weekly pay, benefits, PTO, and 24/7 office support.

Qualifications

• Over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History check.
• Professional references.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care, etc.).
• Medication reminders.
• Monitoring/safety supervision.
• Meal preparation.
• Light housekeeping.
• Laundry, errands and shopping.
• Ambulation/mobility assistance, including lifting 50lbs+.
• Supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly in case of emergencies.
• Transportation to and from appointments.

Patient Care Assistant - PCA

Visiting Angels Temple is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes.

We are looking for a Patient Care Assistant - PCA who has availability on weekdays AND weekends. Patient Care Assistant - PCA shifts can be any length of time between 1 hour to 12 hours- day OR night! We coordinate with your availability and our clients' needs to build your perfect schedule! Our goal is to schedule you for a MINIMUM of 20 hours/week, which means you can pick up AS MANY clients as you'd like!!! Our clients reside in Temple and surrounding areas (Copperas Cove, Killeen, Lampasas, Belton, Cameron, Rockdale, and MORE) therefore, a Patient Care Assistant - PCA MUST have reliable transportation of your own that you will drive to and from each client and be willing to travel outside of Temple. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!
