Job summary

Visiting Angels Temple is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes. We are seeking a Patient Care Assistant - PCA with weekday and weekend availability to build a schedule that meets at least 20 hours per week, serving Temple and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Must have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly
• Must be able to work weekends
• Be over 18 years old
• Successful completion of a Criminal History check
• Professional references

Responsibilities

• Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care, etc.)
• Medication reminders
• Monitoring/safety supervision
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry, errands and shopping
• Ambulation/mobility assistance, including lifting 50lbs and above
• Supportive companionship
• Respond quickly in case of an emergency
• Transportation to and from appointments

Patient Care Assistant - PCA

Visiting Angels Temple is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes.

We are looking for a Patient Care Assistant - PCA who has availability on weekdays AND weekends. Patient Care Assistant - PCA shifts can be any length of time between 1 hour to 12 hours- day OR night! We coordinate with your availability and our clients' needs to build your perfect schedule! Our goal is to schedule you for a MINIMUM of 20 hours/week, which means you can pick up AS MANY clients as you'd like!!! Our clients reside in Temple and surrounding areas (Copperas Cove, Killeen, Lampasas, Belton, Cameron, Rockdale, and MORE) therefore, a Patient Care Assistant - PCA MUST have reliable transportation of your own that you will drive to and from each client and be willing to travel outside of Temple. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply! *$500 SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE*

Patient Care Assistant - PCA Requirements:

• Ability to take direction, follow rules and be proactive
• Good time management skills
• High integrity and strong ethics
• MUST have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly
• MUST be able to work weekends
• Be over 18 years old
• Successful completion of a Criminal History check
• Professional references
• Reliable transportation of your own that you will be driving
• Valid Driver’s License/clean driving record/proof of insurance
