Job summary

CARE CONCERN GROUP LIMITED, via Yarnley House Care Home near Crow and close to Ringwood, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead and support the care team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will oversee shifts, manage medications, maintain records and liaise with families and health professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Alternate weekends work is required. The role offers £14.99 per hour, with benefits including paid DBS, pension, uniform and 5.6 weeks of annual leave

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach

Responsibilities

• Guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care.
• Take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard.
• Oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
• Maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

Job description

Our brand-new, luxury service is set in the small village of Crow, which is very close to Ringwood. We provide quality Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for 72-residents.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.99 per hour
• Contracted to 24.5-49 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
