Job summary

Harrier Grange Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Domestic Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. The role involves cleaning rooms, assisting with laundry, and upholding high hygiene standards to support residents' comfort and dignity.

This hands-on position requires attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Weekend work is required, with DBS, pension and uniform provided.

Job description

Our private care facility in Hampshire offers Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite Care, providing an enriched and fulfilling lifestyle for up to 66-residents in a warm and supportive environment.

Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 16 hours per week - Weekends
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
