CARE CONCERN GROUP LIMITED operates Yarnley House Care Home and is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant on a contract basis. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment, and supporting laundry services to ensure comfort and daily wellbeing for residents.

Applicants should have a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience is welcomed but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high hygiene and presentation standards.
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing, with items clearly labelled.
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
• Work alternate weekends as required.

Housekeeping Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 38.5 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
